“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
Inspired2change's mission is to develop passionate, independent leaders that facilitate authentic change in the lives of the people they interact with day to day. Inspired2change does not only want to bring relief, but rather authentic change in Haiti. All of us have talents and gifts but many lack the training, encouragement and opportunity to allow those attributes to grow and flourish.
Therefore, Inspired2change is passionate about development, coaching and mentoring. We believe in equipping leaders with the Word of God and providing the tools needed to excel in the workplace.
Samuel Bernard, the founder of Inspired2change, is a Christian pastor, teacher, coach, and inspirational motivational speaker. He earned his Bachelor in Biblical Studies at Millar College of the Bible in SK, and has almost completed his Masters in Divinity at Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary.
Samuel was born in Haiti and moved to Canada in 2011. His past experiences have taught him that determination, confidence, education, and a helping hand, are stepping stones to free yourself from poverty. This is what motivated him to start Inspired2change.
Sammy is married to Leah and they have a young daughter. Pastor Sammy is currently the Youth Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada.
Pastor Sammy Bernard will be taking a team to Haiti over the Easter break for 10 days in March 2018. The team of 12 will be departing on March 25th and returning April 4th. The purpose of the trip will include drilling a water well, helping a church complete their building, and assisting Haiti Arise Ministries with some projects. Anyone from age 14 and up can join the trip, but those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Exceptions can be made for youth aged 17. If you are interested in joining the trip, please read the Trip Preparation Manual and complete & submit the Team Member Application via email to Pastor Sammy.
March 25th-April4th Short-Term Mission to Haiti.
A glimpse into our recent trip to Haiti in June to July 2017.
I’m not sure why, but I was surprised at how much effort it takes to wash all your clothes, towels and bedding by hand. When I first tried it, three years ago, I embarrassingly got a blister a few shirts in. This time I was determined to do a bit better. I did….marginally.
Water is carried in buckets, usually from a decent distance, and used wisely for the washing process. I found out that it takes some practice to do it properly!
